Overview

MetaMorph Media is designed as a local macOS utility for inspecting and editing video metadata. We built the app to minimize data collection and keep your files under your control.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the website or app may process, how that information is used, and the choices available to you when using MetaMorph Media.

Local File Handling

Video files selected in MetaMorph Media are intended to remain on your Mac unless you choose to move or share them yourself. The app is designed around local file workflows and does not require cloud upload to perform its core functionality.

Metadata changes are applied to supported files that you intentionally open and edit. You are responsible for maintaining backups and verifying the results before distributing modified files.

Information We May Receive

MetaMorph Media does not require a user account to use its core features. We do not intentionally collect your video files, and we do not require personal profiles or public sharing to use the app.

If you contact support, we may receive information you choose to provide, such as your email address, device details, app version, screenshots, or bug descriptions. We use that information only to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, and improve product stability.

Analytics and Tracking

The app is described and marketed as a privacy-conscious utility. No advertising SDK is required for the app to work, and no third-party analytics are required for its core functionality.

If lightweight website hosting logs or store platform reports are available to us, they may include general technical details such as browser type, page requests, or download referral data. Those records are used for security, operations, and understanding basic site performance.

Data Retention and Security

Support emails and diagnostic details you voluntarily send may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve issues, maintain support records, and meet legal obligations.

We take reasonable steps to protect the information under our control, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
